The Hairies (Looking Back) Live at MiTH
Last MiTH for 2018
The MiTH band will open the evening with a festive set of tunes, followed by the Hairy Legged Lentil Eaters who will be presenting a retrospective tribute to their 27 years together. Expect social commentary and quirky tunes from their two CDs, both of which will be on sale. The evening will end with some fun and well known tunes with a bunch of MiTH mates.
Early in the evening: The MiTH band
Your faithful MiTH Crew, whose musical members will perform a mix of Xmas songs and rocking old faves to get the evening going. Bring your singing voice along!
Some time later in the evening: The Hairy Legged Lentil Eaters
The Hairy Legged Lentil Eaters is a folk-rock group based right here in the Midlands of KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa. As individuals the Hairies resemble a schizophrenic jumble sale, but together they make music that you can wear to any party. Variously described as a “collective multiple personality disorder” and “the most eclectic folk band this side of the Limpopo,” the Hairy Legged Lentil Eaters are a bunch of very different people having fun with music.
MiTH is located at The Knoll Historic Guest Farm, Knoll Drive, Hilton. Doors open at 6 pm and the music will kick off at 7 pm. Entrance is R30 at the door.
MiTH is a semi-open mic music club. An opportunity for musicians to share the joy of their music with a friendly audience which includes fellow musicians – who have all “been there” too. (Non-musicians welcome too!) Whether you’re a newbie looking for your first opportunity to perform publicly, or a more experienced / mature musician simply looking for people who are as passionate about music as you are – come along and join us!
Bring your own booze. Food and soft drinks are available for sale. Musicians who want to play at MiTH, please contact firstname.lastname@example.org.
